Justice & Peace Ministry
Through its Justice and Peace program, Catholic Charities brings together people from a variety of religious backgrounds to work together for public policies that benefit the poorest among us. We offer special assistance to Catholic faith communities in responding to the social demands of the Gospel.
- Religious
Task Force of the Tompkins County Workers Center: A
chance to join with community members from a diversity of religious
traditions to seek a living wage for all and address other issues
of economic justice.
- Tompkins County Catholic Social Ministry Network: An opportunity to meet regularly with people from other Catholic faith communities in the area, to work for policies that benefit the poorest among us.
- Voices for Peace: A fellowship of persons from many spiritual paths, who share a common belief that among the most important religious teachings are those calling us to work for peace.
- Margaret Bigham Driscoll Annual Speaker Series: New information will be announced in the fall of 2010.
