Personal Needs Program

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Since its inception, the Samaritan Center has provided participants with personal hygiene products once every three months. Participants receive a package of basic hygiene products- laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, toilet tissue and one additional item from the supply stock.

The personal hygiene products program is one of the cornerstones of the Samaritan Center, with nearly 45% of the households accessing this service up to 4 times a year. But demand is now greater than ever.

This program is supported by the Community of Faith, Covenanting Council of Tompkins County, private individuals, and a very small budget from Catholic Charities. We serve all people, regardless of income or religion, with necessary items that are not covered by SNAP benefits.

To donate hygiene products, please call 272-5062 ext 27. Donations are always welcome and are greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions about this service, contact Virginia, our Samaritan Center Director or Michaela at our Front Office.
